System requirements for Claude Code:

Operating system: macOS 13.0+, Windows 10 1809+ or Windows Server 2019+, Ubuntu 20.04+, Debian 10+, Alpine Linux 3.19+
Hardware: 4 GB+ RAM
Network: internet connection required
Shell: Bash, Zsh, PowerShell, or CMD. On Windows, Git for Windows is required.
Location: Anthropic supported countries

Claude Code can require a good amount of memory. Within WSL2 you may experience halting and need to restart WSL2 in these cases.
